On Tuesday 10th June, as part of the Co-op Events, Big Green Week and Big Launch. The community team led by Matt Linley Simon, the Academy Community Pioneer, hosted a grand opening event. It was a great way to celebrate the work that the Community Team have done with volunteers to transform the Key Stage 2 Quad Garden Area.
On Friday, we were so pleased to pass over this wonderful donation of £366.00 to our local hospice, The Dougie Mac.
This money was made through having a coffee and cake morning in school and inviting families and friends of Friarswood to join us. This is a much-loved annual event and is extremely popular. A huge thank you to everyone who baked, donated, joined us and made this as successful as it was.

On Tuesday, we welcomed our wonderful dads and father figures into school to join us for lunch.
We’re so excited to share the transformation of our KS2 Quad area.
Thanks to the incredible efforts of the Co-op Academies Trust’s community team and 25 amazing volunteers from Wincanton, DHL, GXO, Co-op Procurement and Co-op store managers, our outdoor learning space has had a full makeover.
On Wednesday, our year 1 class went to The Brampton Museum to continue their learning about the history of toys.
On Thursday, our Year 5 class went to our local Fire Station to take part in a Safe and Sound workshop.
