Dear Families,
Year 6 has shown what superstars they are this week. They have shown resilience and such focus when completing their tests. They even managed to flash some smiles amongst the nerves. Whatever the outcome, they will have done their very best and no one can ask more than that.
Now it’s time to switch gear as they get to plan and prepare for their last half term in primary school!
(I know that last sentence might bring a lump to a few throats at home!)
Sports days
The weather forecast is typical for British weather with a great deal of rain. The fields are soggy and the lines have been washed away!
We have made the decision to postpone sports days which we absolutely hate doing but we want everyone to enjoy the events, children and parents.
The new dates are:
Wednesday 10th June at 9:30 for early years
Wednesday 10th June at 1:30pm for KS1
Thursday 11th June at 1:30pm for KS2
Fingers crossed for some sunshine and a drier field.
Parent survey results
Today you will receive a letter with information about the results. Thank you again for taking the time to share your views. We were over the moon with the many lovely, complimentary comments. All of the comments have been shared with the staff. As is normal with a survey, we received some strong positive feedback alongside some points of complete disagreement, particularly around communication. While many of you praised the information you receive and feel up to date with your child’s progress, a few felt the opposite.
Please know that we are committed to using the feedback to improve consistency in all areas and we will certainly be taking on all opinions as we work to address everyone’s opinions.
Small & Tall
On Friday 10th July, Small & Tall after school club will be closed. The team have been nominated for an award and so will be travelling to the Trust Recognition Awards event. We’re sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause. Small & Tall will be open before school on this day.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
Take care and stay safe
Mrs Wilmer
