Dear Families,
Today is National Teaching Assistant’s Day and we would like to take a moment to celebrate our wonderful TAs. Day in and day out, our teaching assistants go above and beyond to support our children with incredible dedication, patience, and care. We are immensely grateful for everything they do for our school community.
Photos
Our photographer will be coming back to school in November to take ‘Winter’ photos. This is a lovely opportunity to have photos of your children (and you if you want to) dressed up for a perfect Christmas gift or a keepsake for your family. We will be in touch with the date once it has been confirmed by the photographer.
Fire Brigade
Yesterday, Years 1 and 2 were visited by the fire brigade. They learnt lots about fire fighters jobs and their uniform. They looked around the fire engine, heard the siren going and the best bit …. they got to use the water hose! Unfortunately, none of them cleaned my car!
Sports
Next week, I will be taking some Year 4 children to Co-op Academy Stoke to take part in a sporting activity.
Every year, Co-op Academy Stoke holds sporting events for groups of our children along with other primary children from Co-op Academies Glebe, Clarice Cliff, Grove and Hamilton. We’ve taken part in dodgeball, basketball, gymnastics, athletics and cricket over the last year. The children have so much fun and love the medals which they get awarded.
Dougie Mac coffee & cake morning
Thursday 8th November is our annual fundraising event for Dougie Mac. So many of our families have personal connections with this charity which is why we continue to hold this annual event for them. So far, over the years, we have raised over £7000. Thank you in advance for your support.
Medication and care plans
Please can I remind you to read through and check, then sign and return your forms as soon as possible.
Small & Tall
Please can I remind parents that you need to give 48 hours notice to cancel a booked place at the club without charge (as per terms and conditions).
For safeguarding reasons, please can you let the club know if your child is not attending. Mrs Mann is spending a lot of time chasing up children who are booked into the club but don’t turn up.
