Dear Families,

SENDCo

Mrs Dickens is our SENDCo.  Although she supports throughout the week with SEND needs, her time out of the classroom to focus on SEND is a Thursday and Friday.  These are the days that she will be able to offer for meetings and will be able to follow up concerns.

Year 2 is taught by Mrs Dickens Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  Mrs Simpson teaches Year 2 on Thursdays and Fridays.

Harvest Festival

Thank you so much for all of your generous donations for the Newcastle Food Bank.  I know the team who came to take part in the assembly and take the donations were overwhelmed with the response.  Thank you.

Coats

The weather is definitely starting to change.  Please can you make sure your child has a coat as we do go outside everyday.

Young Voices

KS2 has an amazing opportunity to take part in the Young Voices concert in Birmingham on January 14th.  The invitation is open to all of KS2. We are currently finalising numbers and need a response whether your child will/will not be attending. If you have not responded, please do so here  by Monday 19th October. If you require any further information, please get in touch with Mrs Elkin our music lead.

Consents

We still have quite a few consents that are still outstanding for:

  • Administering First Aid

  • Forest School

  • Photo Consents: Images to be used in our printed materials, display purposes, online materials, shared with Co-op Group, press releases, class dojo, school website and social networking

  • Learning outside of the classroom

All of these consents can be found on your Arbor dashboard under notices. Having every response updated whether you give consent or decline ensures our records are accurate.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Take care and stay safe.

Mrs Wilmer

Year 1 have finished their final piece of land art, inspired by the artists - Andy Goldsworthy and Alice Fox. After working hard practising and planning their artwork, today they took great pride in using their collected nature to create their very own land art. We are so proud! They all look wonderful 😀 🫶 #BeYourselfAlways #DoWhatMattersMost
