Welcome

Dear Families,

Safety advice for parents

The Child Accident Prevention Trust has put together this Parent Pack with lots of useful information about how to keep your child safe.  The tips and advice range from burns and scald to water safety to road safety.  Just a quick scan through will help to remind you of possible dangers around the home which you may not have thought about.

On Monday 13th July (1:30 - 3pm), we have our annual Careers Fair for our Years 5 and 6 children.

Do you love your job?

Are you enthusiastic when you talk about your job?

If you would like to come in and talk to the children about your job, please get in touch with either myself or Mrs McConvey.

The afternoon is almost like ‘speed dating’!  A group of children will have a list of questions to ask you.  You may like to show them equipment or uniform linked to your job.  After about 10 minutes, the group of children will move onto the next person to ask them the same questions.  It’s a fun and busy afternoon, which the children love.  Every year we have done this, the visitors have always said how much they’ve thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.

So if you or someone you know would like to talk about your job and your skills, please get in touch.

On Wednesday evening, Mrs Elkin and myself had the absolute pleasure of watching 4 of our most talented musicians play at the Mitchell Arts Centre.  They were in the semi-finals of this competition.  Along with our school, there were several other Co-op Academy schools there.

Our children were amazing; their confidence shone and they really did ‘wow’ the audience.  We are so proud of them.  A huge well done to Libby, Lizzie, Ben and Nora.  And a massive thank you to Mrs Elkin for organising our school to take part in the event and for spending most of the day at the theatre with the children.

Lots of pre-loved uniform ready and waiting for a new home in our uniform exchange. This is just through the door by the library and is open to come and take a look at the start and end of every school day. Please take the next sizes you need and donate back what no longer fits. Re-use, recycle, every little helps. 😊♻️🌎#DoWhatMattersMost
