    Dear Parents / Carers,

What a lovely day we had yesterday.  The children have been so enthusiastic about the jubilee events this week.

The bunting looked great and the singing certainly put a smile on our faces.  The Jubilee Quilt looked amazing and showed off the children’s amazing art work.  A huge thank you to Ms Master for her sewing skills and creating such a fantastic piece of work.  I know lots of you stood to admire it yesterday.

A massive thank you to Mrs Bebbington too for leading the organisation for yesterday’s celebrations.

We hope you all have a fantastic week next week, celebrating the Queen’s jubilee.

  • Platinum Jubilee Picnic 2022

    Published 27/05/22

On Thursday, we held a Platinum Jubilee picnic to celebrate our Queen’s 70th year of service. We were really pleased to see so many families and friends come and join us for this event. The children sang the National Anthem so well to kick start our celebration before they went to enjoy their picnics, ice creams and lots of playing on the fields with their friends. There was such a lovely, happy atmosphere and a lots of smiles all round. We hope that everyone who were able to come along enjoyed it as much as we did! Thank you to you all for taking the time out to join us. #SucceedTogether #DoWhatMattersMost #ShowYouCare #BeYourselfAlways

  • Newsletter – May Week 3

    Published 20/05/22

    Dear Parents / Carers,

This week has seen our Year 2 children completing their special booklets.  They have really impressed us all and we’re so proud of how well they worked in quiet conditions.  We will be sending out the results of the KS1 SATs later on in the year with the children’s reports.

A huge thank you to all of the staff for supporting the children whilst taking their SATs (it’s something that is very controversial) and helping the children to make so much progress this year after everything they’ve been through over the last couple of years.

  • Newsletter – May Week 2

    Published 13/05/22

    Dear Parents / Carers,

I need to start this newsletter with a huge amount of praise for our Year 6 children.  After 2 years of upheaval due to Covid, our Year 6 children have taken their SATs this week.  They have been focused and extremely positive.  They showed resilience throughout each paper and they have certainly tried their best. We couldn’t have asked for any more off them.

A huge thank you to all of the staff who have supported Year 6.  Your dedication and support as well as your calm, positive attitude towards the SATs have really helped the children to stay calm and focused.

  • Pyjamarama Day May 2022

    Published 13/05/22

On Friday 13th May we celebrated Pyjamarama Day organised by the Booktrust to encourage children to read more with their families at home, to enjoy books and their story times. Our children came in to school wearing their Pyjamas and had a great time reading books and doing a variety of book themed activities in class. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your very kind donations from our Amazon book wish lists which will improve each book corner in our class rooms. We have certainly kept the Amazon delivery man busy this week with all of our parcels! Here are a few pictures from our day. #DoWhatMattersMost #ShowYouCare

  • Newsletter – May Week 1

    Dear Parents / Carers,

Can I please say a huge thank you to everyone for parking safely on Abbots Way.  It’s been more noticeable that people aren’t parking on the yellow lines since we’ve had the police buddies.

I don’t know if anyone has used the QR code and sent pictures yet.  If you have, please could you let me know how easy it was.  I’ve got to complete a form for the police regarding ease of use.  Many thanks.

  • Co-op Live Arena Tour

    Published 04/05/22

We had the opportunity to take a few children who were interested in finding out more about the career options in construction by visiting The Co-op Live Arena. This is still a project in the construction phase. We got to listen to Ben who is currently doing an apprenticeship with the construction company BAM, we had the chance to ask Ben lots of questions about his career choice and how he got there. We also learnt out about all of the jobs that are needed when building such a huge project. The children found out so much and asked a lot of questions! We hope this inspired them all to think big when thinking about their future goals. #Careers #DoWhatMattersMost #BeYourselfAlways
