    Dear Parents / Carers,

What a busy week we’ve had in school with all of our sporting events and our open evening for new families to Friarswood.

Thank you to all of the staff who stayed late last night for the open evening.  It was a huge success and your support really meant a great deal to the parents who came.

A massive thank you to Sofia in Year 5 and Arthur in Year 3 for being brave and talking in front of so many adults.  I was so proud of you both!

    Dear Parents / Carers,

Thankfully the summer weather is finally here.  Please can you make sure your child brings their water bottle, sunhat and sunscreen to school.

    School times

From September, we will be lengthening each school day by 5 minutes.  This is inline with the Government request of each school day being 6.5 hours.  The reason behind this is to give all children the same learning time in school.  As we are nearly at 6.5 hours a day, it will only mean a slight change for Friarswood.

So, from September the school day will be from 8:50am to 3:20pm for all year groups.  We will open the doors from 8:40am.

If you have any concerns with this, please feel free to let me know.

    Early Years Outdoor Area

The early years team have been busy renovating the outside area. The new outdoor learning area is amazing. We’ve been showing new parents around and they have been very impressed.  A huge thank you to Mrs Williams, Mrs Rushton, Mrs Tagg and Miss Goodwin and Mac.

  • Student Voice Conference 2022

    Published 17/06/22

On Friday 10th June some of our Key Stage 2 children went to our Co-op headquarters in Manchester to represent our school and to have a say in how they feel we are doing as an academy and how they see things in the future. It was a very mature task they took on and they were brilliant! We travelled by train, which the children loved! They now have the job to get some of the ideas they thought were great and to get them in action. We look forward to seeing what they do. #SucceedTogether

    Dear Parents / Carers,

Welcome back to our last half term of this academic year.  We have so many activities planned for the children that I know it will be busy.  Please keep a look out for the dates on the website and on social media.

A Day to celebrate our differences!

On Thursday 30th June we will be celebrating RSE (Relationships and sex education) Day at Friarswood. The theme this year is ‘Everyone can Sparkle!’ Children are invited to come to school in anything sparkly. It’s a day when we will be focusing on all of our wonderful, unique qualities, relationships and how different they can all be and most importantly we will be celebrating our differences.
