Year 3 and 5 swimming will go ahead next week, so don’t forget your swimming kits.
INSET dates / staff training for this year
On Wednesday 27th April and Thursday 28th April we have staff training for all staff from 3:30pm. Due to this, Small & Tall will be closed for the after school club session on both days. We’re sorry for any inconvenience which this causes.
There is an INSET day on Monday 6th June, so school will be closed.
The last day of the summer term is Friday 15th July.

Safer Internet Day
All of our children took part in activities focusing on how to stay safe yet have fun on the internet. Listening to the children talking about this and seeing their work, it’s amazing how much our children know about staying safe. But this is an area which we will always keep going back to.

Children’s Mental Health Week
We have had a week of children developing more skills in dealing with their own mental health. We started the week discussing what they would put in their own ‘mental health first aid box’. They had some fantastic ideas such as exercise, sleep, talking to family and friends, reading, colouring in, being outside in the fresh air, drinking lots of water, playing games with friends along with many more ideas which were specific to individual children. They’ve listened to a special assembly about mental health and taken part in many activities such as what are their special talents. If they had special powers, what would they be and why? How can they deal with difficult situations and who can we talk to if we need to share feelings? We ended the week ‘dressing to express’ which has been great fun and given children the opportunity to just ‘be themselves’.
It’s been such a productive week which we hope will support your child as they grow and develop and learn to tackle new challenges which life throws at them.
Many mental wellbeing and mindfulness activities take part throughout every week in every class. We really do hope these activities support your child.
Our website has further support for children and adults should you need it.
Just a reminder that we finish for half term on Friday 18th February. All term time dates are on our website.
Thank you for your continued support.
Take care and stay safe.
