Newsletter – January Week Four

Dear Parents /Carers,
Swimming for Year 3 and Year 6
Due to some building work at Chesterton Sports College, we won’t be going swimming for the next 2 weeks. The next swimming lessons will start the week beginning 14th February as long as the building work is completed.
Term Dates
All of the term dates up to 2024 are on the school website. Please do check this before booking holidays as holidays cannot be authorised as they’re not classed as exceptional circumstances.
The last day of the summer term for our children is Friday 15th July 2022.
Bikeability
Reception and Year 1 children are having a great time learning to ride their bikes. They are showing excellent balance and some fantastic steering as well!
Year 6 – Food Technology
Year 6 have been busy in the food tech room using a range of skills such as cutting, peeling and grating. This is part of their Design and Technology unit of work. They made healthy versions of cheesy chips which smelt amazing. And all fingers were still intact when they had finished, which was a relief to Mrs Sharman and Mrs Shaw!
