Newsletter – June Week 2

Dear Parents / Carers,
What a lovely week it’s been. It was great to see so many Dads in school yesterday for the Father’s Day lunch. Thank you for all of your comments, I’ve passed them to the kitchen staff.
Update of details
Please can you update school with any new details. We still have old addresses and phone numbers for some parents.
Payments – Small & tall / school dinners
Please can you ensure that your Small and Tall payments are up to date and that any school dinner money is paid. We don’t want any parents having a very large bill at the end of the term. Thank you
Career’s Fair
Next Friday afternoon, Years 5 and 6 will be taking part in a career’s fair. They will be meeting various people from the world of work and asking them all about their jobs, careers and skills/qualifications needed.
After the fair (3:20pm), our Year 6 will be selling their ‘products’ from their Fiver Challenge lessons. Please bring some money along as they have made lots of amazing things.
KS1 and Nursery Toilets
I’m thrilled that we’ve secured funding for new toilets for these areas. Over the summer holidays, these toilets will be ripped out and lovely new facilities will be in place for September.
Year 4 Dodgeball
Well done to our dodgeball players who won a competition against Co-op Academy Clarice Cliff. Their teamwork and positivity really shone throughout the afternoon.
Safeguarding
Mrs Williams, our safeguarding Governor, has been into school today to ask the children about safeguarding in school along with finding out about the ‘Relationships Without Fear’ workshops which the older children have taken part in. She was really impressed with how much the children know about how to stay safe and what to do if they are worried.
Small & Tall during the holidays
The holiday club will be open from Tuesday to Thursday for the first 4 weeks. Please let Small & Tall know if you need a place for your child.
Help needed!
We now have the materials to begin landscaping our Community Herb Garden. Mrs Bebbington is after a few volunteers to help with this next Thursday afternoon (22nd) 1.30 pm – 3.20 pm. If you think you or someone you know can spare a couple of hours and muscle power! Please message Mrs Bebbington on Dojo or send a quick email to –
stephanie.bebbington@coopacademies.co.uk
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
Take care and stay safe
Mrs Wilmer
