Over the last 2 weeks the children have been learning about Fairtrade and how the choices we make can have an impact on many other people from all over the world. Our Fairtrade group helped to share this message to our families at the end of a school day and they led a fantastic whole school assembly. There has also been all kinds of activities in school, some children got to taste a range of Fairtrade products and they even got to grind coffee beans! Some had a go at making Fairtrade super power chocolate balls. Our Nursery and reception classes used Fairtrade chocolate to make their own rice crispie cakes, which looked very delicious! There were maths investigations, independent research, children creating their own powerpoint presentations about Fairtrade, a football tournament using a Fairtrade football, just to name a few.
