Newsletter – February Week 3

Dear Parents / Carers,

Careers Related Learning

A few weeks ago I asked if you could help our children to understand different job roles and how what they learn in school helps them to achieve a job when they’re older.  This was also an area which you scored low on the parent survey so we are hoping lots of you can support with this.

We are hoping that you can record yourself talking about your job, what you actually do, if you have a uniform and equipment and anything else which the children will find interesting.

This can be for just your child’s class or we can share it with other classes too.

Please can you send your recordings to laura.coleman@coopacademies.co.uk

Thank you for your hopeful support with this.

Year 6 Church visit

Yesterday, Year 6 visited St Andrew’s church as part of their RE unit ‘Taking Part’. The children took the opportunity to ask Naomi lots of thoughtful questions about the Christian faith and how they practise it. They were all amazing in the way that they represented Friarswood, showing thoughtfulness and respect. Well done year 6.

Year 4 Time Table Rockstar Superstars

Well done to all of the following children who have been constantly achieving fabulous results in their times table checks; Flo, Oliver, Florence, Wiktoria, Millie, Gini, Anna-Frieda, Abby, Imogen, Mila, Emma, Jack and Thomas.  Some of these children have achieved the highest marks in the last 3 tests too.  Well done all of you.  And thank you to the parents for your support with this.

Uniform Exchange

A reminder that Uniform exchange will be available every Monday after school.  If you need some uniform, please come down to the library and have a look at what we have.  Mrs Bebbington will be there to help and will also be serving Fairtrade coffee and tea to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight.

Next week is half term.  We come back to school on Monday 28th February.

I wish you all a safe break.

Thank you for your continued support.

Mrs Wilmer
