Dear Parents / Carers,

National Fitness Day

Although the weather was horrible on Wednesday, we didn’t let it stop us all from being active throughout the day.  The children had a great time taking part in the activities.  A massive thank you to the Year 6 play leaders who helped to run the activities along with the staff.

Online safety - information that you may find useful from the esafety advisor

For Parents - Supporting Young Girls' Wellbeing.

From managing screen time, the fear of missing out and body image. All these and more can affect the wellbeing of children. Internet Matters has put together a great series of articles for parents and although aimed at 9-10 year old girls I would say it is worthwhile for all older and younger children, boys and girls.

You can see the advice page HERE.

For Parents - Samsung Kids Parental Controls

Samsung Kids is a parental feature which you can set up on your child's device which can be used to apply restrictions such as app access, downloading, screen time, privacy and more. It's really easy to set up and use and will help you to manage your child's online activity.

What Parents & Carers Need to know about WHATSAPP

Fire Drill

Yesterday everyone took part in a fire drill.  The children were very sensible and left the building safely.  We have these drills every term to ensure everyone knows where to go and how to get there safely.

Small & Tall Payments

Please can we ask that everyone who uses Small & Tall pays upfront for the care.

Payments are on Parentpay.  The money from Small & Tall does page the wages of the staff along with the snacks.

Unfortunately, if you are two weeks behind in payments, we will have to withdraw your child’s place.  If you have any problems, please come and see myself or Mrs Dean as soon as possible.  Parents who are behind in payments will receive letters to make them aware of this.

School Trips

Look out for a letter regarding two very exciting school trips which we have booked for the whole school.

School trips were an area of concern for some families who completed the parent survey as we have less trips happening now since covid.  We’re well aware that some families may be struggling and the coach costs are phenomenal.  Due to these high costs, the trips have been heavily subsidised thanks to the PTA.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Take care and stay safe.
