A huge well done to the winning house team, Northern Ireland. This time the team treat was prize Bingo! The children had a great time dabbing numbers off their bingo books. It got very exciting when there were only a few numbers left and a lot of children were just waiting for one number to win a prize! • Careers Fair 2025

    Published 11/07/25

Yesterday, we held our annual careers fair.  It was so interesting and exciting for the children (and the staff).  We had a range of volunteers, from a variety of work places, being interviewed by the children.  We had an entrepreneur who supports businesses from setting up to making millions!  We had a fireman, policeman, funeral care team, a motor trader, a mine surveyor, a building team representative, Keele student union, a manager from Fuchs lubricants, an auditor and we had our wonderful Ms Master who was interviewed about being a seamstress.

The children learnt a great deal about the skills needed for employment as well as qualifications and the journey for these people.

A massive thank you to Mrs McConvey who organised this event.  If you would like to be involved in next year’s careers fair, please do get in touch.

  • Science Day at Keele University 2025

    Published 11/07/25

On Tuesday, our Year 5 and 6 classes had a fantastic opportunity to visit the science labs at Keele University and take part in four experiments.

The children had to change soft materials to hard by using liquid nitrogen. They had to calculate the PH levels of different liquids by using red cabbage. They created plant and animal cells from plasticine and to finish off, they compared the pond water from Keele with another area  to find out how different pollutants may affect different living species.

    They had an amazing time!
Alice from Year said 'It was really interesting and fun.'

A big thank you to Keele University for having us for the day. Our children really had a great time being scientists!

  • Mrs Kumar's Assembly on Hinduism

    Published 09/07/25

We were very lucky on Wednesday as Mrs Kumar shared her faith with all of us. Mrs Kumar is a Hindu. She told us all about what it is like to follow Hinduism, and she also shared what it is like in India.

Everyone listened carefully as she told everyone about Diwali - The Festival of Light, showing the children pictures and artefacts that she had brought along for the assembly. The children loved to hear about India, and they were amazed to find out that it actually snows in some parts there!

We would like to thank Mrs Kumar for taking the time to tell us about her faith. It was so interesting that the questions she had to answer went on for a while. The children wanted to know even more!  #DoWhatMattersMost #ShowYouCare #BeYourselfAlways #SucceedTogether

  • Summer Show - Annie

    Published 04/07/25

This year, our Key Stage Two children took to the stage to perform the hit musical - Annie.

What an amazing show! Everyone who came were all saying how wonderful it was and how it was so lovely to see the children standing and singing  so confidently in front of a huge audience. Well done to our fantastic cast this year, some of the roles were quite a task with so many lines to remember and solo songs to sing!

Lexi, who played the part of Annie (first half), said 'I loved everything about this show, the singing and acting... just everything!'

Francesca, who played Annie (second half), said 'It was amazing! I made my mum and dad cry when I sang'

We are so proud of everyone involved, and to take this opportunity to thank our KS2 staff for helping to make this show the success it was. We loved it! #SucceedTogether #DoWhatMattersMost

On Wednesday, our Year 2 class went to Middleport Pottery to learn more about the history of the Potteries industry. They learnt a great deal about the factory and the clay as well as walking inside and around the bottle oven.  There were some super print designs made along with some wonderful barge bucket designs. They had their lunch by the canal watching the barge boats pass by and were very excited to wave and get a wave back!

We were so proud of all the children.  They were focused, asked some great questions and worked really well together.  The lady who ran the workshop thanked me for taking such lovely children to visit.

     A brilliant day for everyone!
