Fairtrade Bake Off and Cake Sale 2023
To raise awareness for Fairtrade, we have taken part in this year’s Fairtrade Fortnight. As part of this we had a Fairtrade bake off, where children could use Fairtrade ingredients to create a delicious bake, and we can confirm that they were extremely yummy! Theses cakes were then used in a coffee and cake sale on World Book Day to raise money for new reading materials for the children across the school. This was a big success and very well attended! The cakes/bakes were all amazing and it was very difficult to judge. After getting a chief taster on the case, the three Fairtrade prizes go to.. Isabella in Year 4 with her Banoffee muffins, Jack in Year 2 with his Hippo chocolate cake and Freddie in Reception with his White chocolate and raspberry blondies. Well done to those three and to everyone who sent in a Fairtrade bake, they were all amazing!
