Newsletter – May Week 1

Dear Parents / Carers,

Can I please say a huge thank you to everyone for parking safely on Abbots Way.  It’s been more noticeable that people aren’t parking on the yellow lines since we’ve had the police buddies.

I don’t know if anyone has used the QR code and sent pictures yet.  If you have, please could you let me know how easy it was.  I’ve got to complete a form for the police regarding ease of use.  Many thanks.

Swimming

Due to changes in timetables for next week, Yr 5 and Yr 3 will not be swimming.

Year 5 will not be swimming on Tue 17th May either.

Year 5 trip

Some of our Year 5 children had the opportunity to visit the new Co-op Arena in Manchester.  It’s currently being built and will offer lots of various job opportunities.  The children listened to an apprentice working there.  They asked some fantastic questions about the industry.  One question which stood out to all of the adults was ‘why do you think that there aren’t as many females in construction jobs compared to males?’ Miss Coleman and Mrs Bebbington were very proud of them.  Thank you children for being amazing!

Year 6 SATs

Next week, our year 6 children will be taking their SATs.  It’s a time for them to show off everything they have learnt.  I’m sure they will do so well as they have made masses of progress this year.  Lots of rest along with fun activities this weekend Year 6.  No worrying, just get ready to show off what you know.  Remember to have breakfast next week!

I wish you all a lovely weekend.

Thank you as ever for your continued support.

Take care and stay safe.

Mrs Wilmer
