On Monday, we welcomed our families in to share the great work that their children had done throughout this academic year. As the weather was still very warm, everyone took their work outside to find a comfortable spot on our fields. It was fantastic to see so many smiles of pride from both children sharing their achievements and parents seeing everything their children had completed this year. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend this special afternoon.

On Monday, year 5 and 6 had the opportunity to take part in our busiest annual careers fair yet! We had an abundance of companies with a huge variety of jobs in the hall showing the children the choices they have in the world of work! All of the companies that came to join us were very impressed by the level of questioning the children made.

One company member said, "Some of the in-depth questions made us reflect on the key skills needed for the job."

On Wednesday, our Year 3 children went on a trip to Hanley's Potteries Museum. We had a fantastic day and the children really enjoyed it! We spent the morning exploring different rocks and their uses as well as investigating the different rocks to see how they absorbed water.
In the afternoon we watched a film about Rita Baines who flew planes during WW2, including a Spitfire! We then got to see a Spitfire!

On Tuesday, Early Years and Years 1 and 2 had their sports day. The day was filled with lots of fantastic energy throughout! The races were great with everyone cheering for everyone else which one wonderful to see. This was made all the more special by our parents and carers who came to support the children with lots of encouragement to do their best. Well done to the parents who fancied having a race themselves! There was a lot of competition in the air!

On Thursday, our very talented string musicians had the chance to show off the progress they have made this year whilst learning to play the guitar or violin. In front of the school and their parents we heard some wonderful music. They played so well and didn't let the heat stop them from shining! Well done to each and every one of our musicians.  I know Miss West, their music teacher was super proud! #SucceedTogether #BeYourselfAlways 

On Wednesday, our year one class went to learn all about the history of toys. This is a topic they have covered in their history lessons, and it was a wonderful chance to go and see and play with some of these toys from the past. The whole day was brilliant, and the children enjoyed every minute! Especially going down to the cellar where the washing was done by the maids a long time ago.  A huge thank you to the Brampton Museum team. They were fantastic. #DoWhatMattersMost
